Twin Parishes Food Bank

History: The Twin Parishes Food Bank (TPFB) was begun in the early 1970’s by Catholic Charities “twinning” program to procure and distribute food and clothing free of charge to needy residents in Northeast Denver neighborhoods where respectively 26.3% and 28.5% of families live in poverty. (Piton Foundation, August 2004: Neighborhood Facts: A Data Book on the Status of Denver Neighborhoods from Census 2000). (Including 5-points, Cole, Swansea, and Globeville neighborhoods.) TPFB is the largest food bank in our 80205 zip code and in the top 10 food pantries for distribution quantities in Denver.
